Mental Well Being During a Pandemic
As the world continues to shift during this global pandemic, a renewed sense of importance is being placed on mental wellbeing. A lot of individuals have experienced isolation and loneliness during the peak months of the pandemic, compounding on the stress they may already be facing from family and work.
These feelings have had lasting effects on the mental wellbeing of many, and unfortunately, this can lead to burnout, stress, and even suicidal thoughts.
What can we do?
Before you can help others, you need to be able to help yourself. Learning how to recognize your own stress triggers and what works best for you, is the first step in helping others. You need to learn how to be kind to yourself and nonjudgmental when going through tough times, so you can utilize the same techniques, when dealing with others in similar situations.
